Imagine the different emotions that you would experience when lying on your death bed, as your life flashes before your eyes. There may be feelings of guilt, remorse, regret, contentment, or perhaps the feeling of being alone. In poem 465, the speaker describes .... Middle of Essay .... when the presence of a pesky fly seems to catch her attention. The introduction of this fly - a part of the world she has closed out - signals that her life is not quite complete. Perhaps she has not succeeded in gaining final closure.
