Phoenix time is limited, “But she sat down to rest.”(117) As she rested, Phoenix started thinking about how hungry she is and imaging a food being brought to her. “But when she went to take it there was just her own hand in the air.”(117) Imagining Phoenix condition, she can only wish and stay strong enough to keep walking.
