.... The Revolution in Animal Farm, clearly based on the Russian Revolution, did not keep nationalism from disappearing, a point Orwell makes clear. The animals, after revolting, are so proud, that they take a green table cloth and pain a white hoof and a horn on it similar to the hammer and sickle of the former Soviet Union (“Animalism”). The animals on the farm do many other things that are very similar to what the people of Russia were going through in their everyday lives.
