          Michelangelo
           Beginning of Essay 
 lived from 1475-1564. He was arguably one of the most inspired creators in the history of art. As a sculptor, architect, painter, and poet, he had a tremendous influence on his contemporaries and on following Western art in general. ’s father, a Florentine  ....  then went to Rome, where he was able to look at many newly discovered classical statues and ruins. He soon sculpted his first large-scale sculpture, Bacchus. At about the same time,  also did the marble Pietà. One of the most famous works of art, the Pietà was probably finished before  was 25 years old, and it is the only work he ever signed. 
The high point of ’s early style is the gigantic marble statue David which he made between 1501 and 1504, after returning to Florence.
