.... Lawrence did not arrive in time to stop Romeo from drinking the poison. The feud between the Montagues and the Capulets also played a large part in their deaths. Romeo and Juliet could not see each other with their parent’s consent so they had to do it in secret. “If they do see thee they will murder thee.” Juliet says this to Romeo on her balcony just after the party. The feud between the two families meant they couldn’t even talk to each other. All of the fighting between the two families did not set a good example for Romeo and Juliet.
