The three main foreign affairs during John F. Kennedy’s presidential term were The Bay of Pigs, The Cuban Missile Crisis, and the Spread of Communism in South Vietnam. These were the main problems that the Kennedy administration faced.

In South Vietnam, the communist insurgency showed no signs of letting up. Many Vietnamese began to look towards the communist opposition. Ngo Dinh Diem, the country’s president, seemed more interested in establishing an autocratic regime than he did in promoting democracy. He kept power within his family and refused to share power with local leaders. On November 2, 1963, Ngo Dinh Diem died at the hands of his generals. Less than two weeks after Diems death, Kennedy himself was assassinated. So Linden B. Johnson took his place and the struggle of America’s bloodiest cold war.
