She was arrested and put in jail for sitting in the front of the bus. Four days after, the black people of Montgomery and the people from other races organized and promoted a boycott of the city bus line. For 381 days blacks walked or arrange their own rides throughout the city rather than taking the bus. Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. , appointed spokesperson for the boycott talked about the importance of nonviolence by all participants. Thousands of courageous people joined ....
